exhibition "ceramics here and now" by Tanya Cnossen, Kateryna Naumova, Ioana Alexandra Tămaş and Yma Gonzales

announcement and opening

starting from saturday november 17, opening event sunday november 25

The exhibition "ceramics here and now" is run in conjunction with the project of the same name. It starts on saturday november 17 and the closing date is (deliberately) left open for now. This is a very flexible and dynamic exhibition. New multicoloured work emerging from the art studio / ceramics workshop now running at deKunstClub.nl is directly added to replace earlier objects in the exhibition.

Right now, four ceramists with roots in Russia, Ukrain, Rumania and Peru are working at the club on a regular basis: Tanya Cnossen-Polishchuk, Kateryna Naumova, Ioana Alexandra Tămaş and Yma Sumac Gonzales. Each has her own approach, her own specialisms and her own vision. It is fascinating to see how they go about creating modern art. To feel their quest for expression. To see how their art develops over time. To experience their experiments. And - the work shown is exquisite.

The opening reception for this exhibition is held on sunday november 25, from 16:00. You can see many fascinating ceramic art pieces. It may be a good idea to come back from time to time as new work will be presented regularly. And of course, the exhibition is run slap bang in the middle of an operating ceramics art studio / workshop. Quite exciting!

During the opening reception the Bulgarian guitarist / sculptor Emil Georgiev will play incidental music on acoustic guitar and Dutch pianist Wiebe Cnossen will play the piano.
